I was glad when I discovered Sanderson did have numerous services and gas was comparable to prices I had been paying. I am not sure why Marathon was so much higher than the other places I had been through on that day, including Presidio.
After filling up in Sanderson I decided to press on and noted a sign on the outskirts of town that said “next service-daytime 62 miles, -night time 122 miles.” It was definitely approaching nightfall, but 7.00 in the evening still left some daylight to travel in. (read more...)
